Everything you want to know, answered in one place
How can I disable unnecessary software processes to save battery power?
Press and hold the start button to open recent apps. Then select the appropriate app icon and swipe left or up (depending on your device) to close the apps. This prevents apps from continuing to run in the background and consuming energy.
How can I take a screenshot on my device?
To take a screenshot, press and hold the power button and the volume button simultaneously. Keep both buttons pressed until you hear a clicking sound, which indicates that the screenshot has been taken.
Where are my video files stored?
MP4 or AVI files are stored in the “Videos” folder on the memory card.
Can I move or copy files to the memory card?
Yes, you can easily copy or move files to the memory card by selecting the desired files and dragging them to the appropriate folder on the memory card.
What is the range of an industrial mobile phone or walkie-talkie from SYCO, and what affects this range?
The range depends on the application: in open terrain, it can be up to several kilometres, while in urban or industrial environments, buildings and metal structures severely limit the range. To ensure optimal range, use metal antennas and place the device as high as possible or in an area with minimal interference.
Can SYCO devices be used in combination with other brands?
Yes, SYCO supports interoperability via standards such as DMR (Digital Mobile Radio) and PMR. This means you can communicate with other brands that use the same protocols. Please note, however, that encryption or specific channel configurations must be set to compatible settings.
How long does the battery in a SYCO radio last, and are there any replaceable battery options?
Battery life typically varies between 12 and 24 hours with average use. With intensive use, such as continuous transmission, this may be shorter. Many models have replaceable batteries and are compatible with spare or improved batteries that are available separately.
Maintenance and cleaning – how do you do it correctly?
Clean the housing with a soft, dry cloth. For more intensive cleaning, use a light with a mild cleaning agent, ensuring that all connections remain properly sealed. Allow the device to dry completely before switching it back on. Avoid aggressive chemicals that could damage seals or buttons.
What regulations and licences are required for the use of SYCO radios in Belgium?
Industrial use of radio frequencies is subject to Belgian telecommunications regulations. Depending on the application (public vs. private network), you will need a licence or notification from the BIPT. SYCO can assist you with this, and we recommend checking with a specialist dealer or the BIPT beforehand.
